This Palette magazine spread was designed for Mike Monteiro’s article, “Ethics and Paying Rent”. Using photography as a visual metaphor for the tension between ethical responsibility and financial survival. The image features a tightened collar constricting the articles title, symbolizing how designers often feel both pressure and constraint when trying to act ethically in their work while still needing to get paid. The layout balances strong typographic hierarchy with conceptual imagery to reinforce the article’s message.
